FAQ's

Q - No cameras/recording devices are permitted. What are we allowed to bring to the arena Aug. 15?

A - Bottled water may be brought in, but all other food/drink may not be. Concessions will be open all day. Sacramental's (eg-salt, rosaries, medals, etc.) may be brought in for a general blessing.

Q - What selection of foods will be offered at concessions?

A - A wide variety of breakfast, lunch and snack foods and (non-alcoholic) beverages will be available throughout the day from the time doors open at 7:00 AM. Canadian currency is accepted.

Q - Can we leave/return to the arena throughout the day?

A - Yes, you may leave and re-enter the arena during the day-long event. Please present ticket at re-entry.

Q - What restaurants are nearby? Are reservations required? **

RESTAURANTS - DOWNTOWN, BUFFALO, NY

**Reservations recommended. Lunch break 1:00-2:00 PM Conference ends 6:15PM

Q - Tell us about parking.

A - HSBC Arena parking ramp (Illinois Street) and surface lots approximately 200 yards from the building (on Perry Street between Michigan Street and Mississippi Street). Parking for guests with disabilities is available throughout the surrounding garages and parking lots. The HSBC Arena parking ramp has parking spaces for guests with disabilities located throughout the facility on all Levels next to the elevators. There are also a number of private parking lots in the area (not affiliated with HSBC Arena or the Buffalo Sabres).

Bus parking is located at Perry & Baltimore Streets and costs $40. Plan on $10 for cars.

Q - How will I get to/from my hotel to the HSBC Arena?

A - At check-in, hotel staff will advise transportation options. Please ask.

Q -What if I need assistance getting to my seat?

A - Elevators are available for handicapped patrons. One is located in the Pavilion to the right behind the escalators nearest to Main St., this elevator stops at all levels. Additional elevator located by the Security Office stops only at the 100 and 200 levels, not the 300 level.

The arena is an 18,000 seat venue. Every effort will be made to assist the elderly comfortably to their seats. Large numbers of participants with limited mobility are expected to attend this event. If you own any type of walking assistance, wheelchair, walker, cane... plan to bring it; and take your time. Arena staff will be present to assist you.

Q - What provisions have been made for the deaf and hard of hearing?

A - An ASL interpreter will sign each of the conference talks.

Assisted listening devices are available at Guest Services located, on the 100 level between aisles 7-8 and the 300 level between aisles 13-14. You will be asked to leave your credit card or photo identification as a deposit for the device. A central FM transmitter services all seating areas. Arrangements can be made in advance by calling the Account Services Office 1-888-467-2273

*State-of-the-art audio equipment will supplement the normal arena sound system for this event.

Q - Where are restrooms located?

A - Men's restrooms are located near aisles 1, 5, 8, 10, 14 and 23

Woman's restrooms are located near aisles 4, 8, 9, 16 and 22

Patrons seated on the arena floor must go up one (or more) level(s) for restrooms.

Tip: Restrooms on the 200 and 300 levels will be less crowded than those on the 100 level.
